What ADAS calibration does
Advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) — forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane keeping assistance, adaptive cruise control and blind spot monitoring — rely on cameras and radar sensors that must be aimed exactly as the vehicle manufacturer specifies.
Calibration sets or verifies that aim, so the system reads lane lines, following distance and objects in the right place. A camera or sensor can look perfectly installed and still need calibration before the system works as intended.
When a vehicle may need calibration
Whether calibration is required depends on the vehicle and on the manufacturer’s repair procedures. Ask us about calibration after:
Windshield replacement on a vehicle with a camera mounted at the windshield
Collision repair involving the bumper, grille, mirrors or other areas where cameras and sensors are mounted
Replacing, removing or re-mounting a camera, radar sensor or its bracket
Wheel alignment, suspension or steering work
A driver-assist warning message, or a feature that stops working after a repair
Some calibrations can only be completed once other problems are corrected, such as a damaged sensor mount or a wheel alignment that is out of specification.

ADAS calibration questions
Does my car need calibration after a windshield replacement?
Many vehicles with a camera mounted at the windshield do, according to the manufacturer’s procedures. Tell us the year, make and model and we’ll confirm what applies to your vehicle.
Is ADAS calibration the same as a wheel alignment?
No. An alignment adjusts the wheels; calibration aims the cameras and sensors. Some manufacturers require the alignment to be within specification before a calibration is done.
How much does ADAS calibration cost?
It depends on the vehicle and the procedure it needs. Call 281-687-2452 for a quote.
Do I need an appointment?
You don’t need an appointment to visit during business hours, Monday–Friday, 8 AM–6 PM. Call ahead so we can confirm the procedure your vehicle needs and how long it will take.
Can I mail parts in for calibration?
No. Calibration is done on the vehicle at our Houston shop. Mail-in service is only for eligible airbag modules and seat belts — see airbag module reset and seat belt repair.
